The accommodation was reasonable, but old and shabby. It really needs a good renovation.
My partner and I just made friends with other travelers. We washed dishes together, watched rugby together and interacted/got to know each other. The hostess, Linda, is very helpful, friendly and welcoming to her guests. We stayed over for one night, but it felt like a whole weekend. The bed slept well, the bathrooms and shower are spacious, and the kitchen is nice and big. Next time I will definitely try the pool as there was no time.
It's a backpacker lodge, so do not expect bed and breakfast amenities. Take your own food and respect the house rules: clean up after using the communal kitchen, wash up, and pack away. Keep noise to a minimum and respect other guests living on campus. If it is not yours, leave it be. There's a lovely lounge with some decent reading materials. Grab a book, sit in the garden, and read. We enjoyed the quiet, relaxed atmosphere, friendly professional service, and well-maintained garden and living areas. Highly recommended if you need a short break after a long journey or just a weekend away from the bustling city.

The place was a bit tight for more than two people and the water pressure was a bit of a problem, don't know if it was due to loadshedding, but Linda offered us the use of the staff bathroom. The parking was a bit of a problem due to the fact that it was "first come, first served", but that was mentioned. Otherwise it was OK.

The use of the rooms for two nights or more is too small. There is no TV in the room. When my husband and I watch TV we like to watch it in the room and not share a TV with others.
Time was not in our favor, because my husband then had to go back quickly due to it works, but we will definitely go back again.
Room was neat. Reception was cordial. Enjoy swimming pool.

We just stayed one night, but it was most enjoyable.
A mirror in the bedroom near a wall plug would be an asset, but it is a struggle to blow dry hair by feel, but otherwise no complaints.
We stayed in the court yard room. Lovely that it was next to the pool but bathroom is separate and shared. Venue was very quiet at the time so it didn't bother us, however we'd probably go for the flatlet with own bathroom on our next visit. Definitely be back.

We were a group of 12 anglers from the SANDF, en route to Saldanha. From our arrival at the venue, till our departure, we were treated like family. This is a place that will be promoted to work colleagues and friends. We received more than what we expected for the amount of money paid. We will be back for sure.

What you see in the photo on the website is not what goes on inside the house. The carpets and furniture are dirty, the windowsills are dusty, there are bugs that bite you when you sleep, and the washing and toilet facilities are inadequate. The bunk beds in the dormitory are almost forced into each other.

We were pleasantly surprised at the lovely surroundings and well furnished accommodation.
We booked in the Friday afternoon. Lynda gave us a friendly reception and showed us where everything is and took our to the en suite room with a view. The room is spacious if you're staying a night or 2, like in our case. The bathroom was quite a surprise - nice and spacious with a big mirror! The room had a lovely patio where you can relax and enjoy the garden. If I can make a recommendation or two: Maybe think about putting carpets in the room. The tiles are very cold! And maybe one or two hangers for those of us who didn't pack them. But other than that we had a lovely visit! Will definitely recommend them to anyone.
